About John

I am a Christ follower. I am the husband to the love of my life and best friend.  I am also a proud father to the most precious little girl. I am a pastor. I am dedicated to preaching God’s Word verse-by-verse, and accurately handling His truth. This is in fact the reason for the byline of my blog: “God’s Word. God’s Truth. God’s Will.” In other words, we study God’s Word in order to learn His Truth so that we may discern His Will for our lives.

I love books (most importantly, the Word of God). I have a variety of interests in books including: Theology, Philosophy, Church Growth, Marriage, and Commentaries.

I hold degrees from UNC-Greensboro (B.A. Political Science), and Piedmont Baptist Graduate School (M.A. Biblical Studies).

I am available to speak for conferences, retreats, camps, and other speaking engagements. I will prayerfully consider officiating a wedding, pending completion of pre-marital counseling.
